Sensors & Actuators — Grado 5º - Sesión 7 - Caja Verde Naranja

Sensors and Actuators
How the human body has inputs that receive information. Then, the brain processes that information, leading to a response (action) with the body's outputs.

•Ears ·The student hears the teacher with her ears (input). ·The brain (processor) processes the instruction. ·The student raises her right hand (output) to show that she wants to express her opinion (action). •Tongue ·The cook tastes the sauce with his tongue (input). ·The brain (processor) processes the flavor. ·The cook's face (output) shows his displeasure because the sauce is salty (action). •Eyes ·The students see the the traffic signal with their eyes (input). ·The brain (processor) processes the information. ·The student's legs (output) stop before they cross the street (action).

1. Physical Computing Systems Just like the human body, physical computing systems use inputs to analyze information and take actions with their outputs
2. Sensors, Processor, and Actuators In physical computing systems: ·The inputs are known as sensors. ·The outputs are known as actuators. ·The component that analyzes is known as a processor. 3. HaloCode The HaloCode allows for physical computing because it has inputs, a programmable processor, and outputs.
